About the Teams

Feb 23

Communication

As a team we seek to use our creative and communication skills to serve the Campus Crusade body and further our impact for Christ.  We work hand in hand with other teams to promote events and get the word our though print and the SLOCrusade.com website.  Contact Eric Bates ecbates@me.com for more information!img_0214-version-2

Community

The Community Team is here to help in the process of creating a real and vibrant community of believers fully devoted to following the Lord.  God has called us to be more than partners in ministry, but one body with one mind, a transformational community to be used by God! We get to plan special events to help make this happen! We could always use more help in the planning of events, such as Dinners for 8, the Thanksgiving Party, Night at the Oscars, and more!  Contact Dustin Kegeris for more information.  His contact info is on the staff page.

Global Connect

The Global Connect Team’s desire is to give every student in our ministry a bigger picture of God’s heart for the world, and also to present opportunities to be a part of reaching the world for Christ by going and by sending others.  Please contact Misty Zeller for more information, see the staff page to get a hold of her!

Men's Team

Women's Team

Outreach

The Outreach team has the unique opportunity to learn the campus culture, then take that understanding to formulate new ways to effectively reach our culture through training, events, and relationships. We’re here to encourage and equip our movement to reach the students of Cal Poly, Cuesta and the world.  Contact Kevin Lamb for more information, see the staff page for his info.

Prayer

Prayer is the foundational part of this movement and this team has the privilege of leading the charge in strengthening our understanding and desire for prayer. We need to pray with dependent hearts asking God to reach this campus and change lives for His Name.  Come pray with us!!  Contact Caellin Douglas for more information, her contact info is on the staff page.

Publicity

SLO Crusade has been blessed with incredible numbers over the years.  We’ve seen God do some incredible things!  At the same time, it’s been harder and harder for us to get a consistent meeting place for our weekly meetings; every week we’re in a different place.  Out of this need came the W8 Publicity Team.  We exist to creatively announce W8 and W8 unplugged both to the campus community as well as to our ministry.  Lyle and Parks (on homepage) is an example of the kind of things we do!  Contact Josh Dean for more information, see the staff page for his information.

Swanson Center (Library)

We feel that the Swanson Center fulfills a need of this generation. Faith and the intellectual life of the mind have been so segregated over the years that we would like to serve to restore this relationship. We would like students of all faiths and beliefs to find the Swanson Center a place where they are challenged to consider more, and are given the opportunity to expand their minds in regards to faith and the life of the mind.
